OPALL is a space for polymer science and engineering enthusiasts that fosters learning, measurement and creation of polymer products. It is both lab and multipurpose meeting space. The lab portion is organized into spaces differentiated by safety levels and equipment robustness, that open up to students as they gain mastery over the subject. OPALL incorporates chemicals and research-grade (sometimes delicate) instruments. Thus, OPALL is not open to everyone – users need to get trained and demonstrate their ability before they get unrestricted access. OPALL is not just for fun – students can learn and gain expertise in scientific research (and get jobs) with the help of many OPALL fellows whom industries love.
